Laminate Upkeep
First, vacuum using a vacuum without a beater bar, sweep or dust mop the floors to eliminate loose dirt and grit.
Only use the laminate cleaner that is specifically made by the manufacturer for your particular floor.
Periodically using a damp mop will restore your floors shine.
After damp mopping, a clean, dry cloth should be used to soak up excess moisture.
Soap-based detergents or “mop and shine” products should never be used.
Abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder should never be used.
Flooding your laminate floor with water or cleaners can ruin your floors.
Use floor protectors on the bottom of your furniture and lift furniture to move instead of dragging it across your floor.
Use doormats or walk-off mats to collect excessive moisture and dirt at each entryway.
Do not attempt to sand or refinish your laminate floor without a professional.
